I went twice, once in the late 80s, and once in 94 or so. It was a fun, beautiful park. (I never did any of the country music stuff. Can't stand it! :) )
One thing I remember was they had an unusual variety and high quality of shopping. With my parents in the late 80s, my mom found some beautiful drapes in a shop in the park!!
The coasters: (It's been a while, but I'll try to remember some)
Wabash Cannonball - A standard Arrow Corkscrew, not much to say.
Rock-n-rollercoaser - A very fun Arrow mine train.
Screamin Delta Demon - One of the better Intamin bobsleds I've been on. This was one of the earlier generation models with 1-abreast seating. The trains were VERY VERY heavily themed as dragons/demons. It was GREAT, and the ride went through a bunch of trees. I remember it giving phenomenal night rides.
Chaos - I rode it in it's first year, and it was REALLY fun. Not much of a coaster, but the themeing and everything was really fun. The queue line was meant to drive you mad. It was all inside and every hall would be something new. One hall had the loudest subwoofer hidden somewhere in it which was deafening. Another hall had hundreds of clocks on the wall all ticking VERY loudly and out of sync with each other. VERY annoying, but fun! The ride had a single 40 car (YES, 40 car!) 80 passenger train. Everyone was given a pair of glasses similar to 3d glasses that altered the way you saw light. It made the lighting effects look really cool. Anyway, there was video, audio, and lots of lighting effects in the ride. Really fun!
Hangman - I rode it after it was moved to SFMW. Another hang and bang.
I miss Opryland, it was fun, and I hope the rides get resurrected someday!
