One Click adds Warner Bros. Movie World Madrid photos

Posted Monday, April 15, 2002 8:57 AM | Contributed by Andy One Click

The new Spanish park, Warner Bros. Movie World Madrid, is not even a week old and already we have photos of the park at One Click. We feature photos of the two B&M's, Superman and Batman, the RCCA woodie Wild Wild West and the invertigo named Stunt Fall which has yet to open, as well as the general theme of the park plus photos of other rides.

Awesone photos! Great job! I love the layout of that floorless, and what an improvement a different color makes for the classic Batman ride.

Great pics!! The best one so far. As I see it, it looks like we have an Islands Of Adventures park here in Europe. The theming looks excelent almost everywhere and the rides itself doesn't look so bad either. And it's pretty cheap to have an semester in spain too, at least before the Euros...

Hmm I will join ECC as fast as possible and join their Spain trip next year, can't wait!!

Sweeeeet as a candy apple! This pic of the Beemers is mesmerising, only one question comes to mind, what's up with the lack of themeing around S:ROS as compared to B:TP.

Hey, the GIB is named 'Stunt Fall' instead of 'Twister.' Gotta be the naming rights & the colours didn't match. I'm sure park management is hoping it won't pull off any stunts. Sorry about the bad pun. ;)

What a waste that what looks to me like the best floorless in the world was placed into such a barren and non-descript landscape. :( Oh well, still looks like an excellent ride. Any word on how Wild Wild West is? Or what's going on inside of that log flume?

Glad you liked the pics - I think they are my best yet. Shame about the sky in the afternoon but it was an awesome trip. My full report can be found here, which will answer some of the questions.

Anyone know if they are using composite or steel wheels on WWW? Just wondering because the track looks like regular woodie track unlike Colosus in Germany.

The trains are using steel wheels...

This looks like a very awesome park with many good rides, and the themeing looks very well done.

Great photos of what looks like an awesome park! It definitely adds a touch that we haven't really seen before with a Six Flags owned park. Looks like they certainly have a winner!

and what an improvement a different color makes for the classic Batman ride.

Batman at SFOT has the same track color but darker colored supports.

hehehe, hey whoever designed the theming for this park, we REALLY need to borrow them for a couple years at SFMM. *** This post was edited by DWeaver on 4/15/2002. ***

I love the station to Batman: The Pursuit. It looks like an old manor, or something. By the way, I noticed that Batman only uses 7 car trains, unlike its brothers in the States.

It's funny just how much Spain looks like Southern California. This could easily be SFMM!

Quite impressive indeed… the look & feel of each set theme matches perfectly from the originals: especially the concrete jungle of Gotham City. Batman: the Pursuit station decked out as the gothic Wayne Manor is almost like a panel taken from the comics. It’s a pity that mall/multiplex with the cheap carnival rides built last year in So Cal could ever match this astounding level of detail.

My God!

Anyone know Six Flags' phone number? I'll remind them to buy Warner Bros. Movie World Australia.

Considering our Movie World consists of second rate rides built in and around tin sheds, this park is sheer brilliance in the theming department.

Still, it is quite aparent that they aren't finished. Compare: http://oneclick.coasterbuzz.com/html/pic.asp?img=/photos/wbmwmadrid/riobravoadventure_01.jpg
to the original, Australian counterpart:
http://www.totalthrills.com/~richard/wbmw_gal/www.jpg

As you can see, there's still a bit to be done with regards to fine touches.

So what if the best coaster in Australia is a second hand Arrow?
