Props to the project development dept. for the amazingly original name. And I thought X-Flight was a bad one!

I get the feeling there's a conspiracy over at King's Island to remove anything that has "K" or "C" in its initials.

Wait, it's the first of it's kind? What about those pictures from the ECC? Was the the prototype and that's what this is? BTW, great name! Hey, at least SFEG's getting something, eh?

I know!!! I guess it is better than a super hero name though. But since it is Blue and Orange, I think a tribute to the Broncos is neccesary, or better yet, they could re-paint it, and call it the Avalanche since they are our only real good team. Oh Darn, I forgot, I am not rich and I don't own Six Flags!

I'm not sure but I think the park might actually be getting the Zamperla prototype. They've been telling us that the coaster is in Italy. But actually it is in transit and should arrive in April. I like the name, but I've been known it for a couple weeks so I'm used to it.

Anybody know where I can get more pictures of the ride? I already know about the first drop website, but I am trying to make a re-creation and those pictures aren't too helpful...

That's even un-original for Six Flags. How long before we see rides by the names "The Hyper Coaster" or "The Sit-Down Looping Coaster"?

What the heck does the Six Flags site mean when they say "ride availability may vary day by day"?

Who cares about the name for pete sakes! It's a new coaster at Elitch Gardens, and an original one at that. The name is irrelevant, really. The ride will attract new guests to the park, no matter what the name is and that's the whole reason it's being built. I swear, some people are never satisfied.

ride availability may vary day by day - occassionally rides might be closed for maintenance or other reasons, call the park for information on what rides are closed.

I kid you not.. when AstroWorld was originally in discussions with RCCA about bring the worlds first modern looping wood coaster to the park, corporate really really wanted to call it "The Looping Woodie".

Zamperla, coasters?! No... "The Kiddie Coaster"
I really hope that we don't see another Zamperla Volare in any other Six Flags parks.

xShorty, you are thinking pretty negavitaly about Zamperla trying to move into the Mid-Size coaster world. This could turn out to be a really good ride. There are not many parks out there who don't have at least one Zamperla ride, so they have expierence building new rides. They are a very succesful company that know what they are doing.

Let's call it a kiddie coaster when the minimun height requirement is 50 inches. I can see it now, me and angry dad that waited 3 hours to ride this with his daughter and she is one inch to short, but since he paid adult admission for her, she should be able to ride all of the coasters.

Anyways, that spiral lift looks kinda cool.

The Flying Coaster is the prototype from Italy. Also, a name doesn't determine if a coaster will be good or not, the ride itself is the determining factor. Another thing, not many parks have room for expansion, therefore this is a great addition to a park since it takes up a very limited amount of space. I wouldn't be surprised if you see some more Zamperla flying coasters popping up at parks.

I bet they name it in memory of that lousy 70's football defense, the "Orange Crush".
