Thorpe Park has released a Shockwave animation that lets you ride Colossus virtually from the front seat. The ride has ten inversions.

Well, it's not a BadNitrus production, but it's still fun to see.

I don't know how I feel about that. The quality is kind of iffy if you know what I mean. Then the accuracy is questionable, especially the lift hill and cobra roll. Other than that, I wish I had the cash flow to take the trip over the pond to ride this thing and get dizzy on those barrel rolls in person.

I tried to sign my name here but the ink didn't stay on the screen.

That would be the coolest way to experience a cobra roll! You'd think they would spend a little more money on an official animation. Maybe I play No Limits too much because I thought they could have used the "make straight" function on the lift hill. They should have contracted some professionals to do it. This one's just shameful, fun, but shameful.

wow, that looks...painful, among other things. it flies aroudn certain parts and then crawls through others. I tried making this ride in RCT once and it turned out pretty bad, but I think that even that was better than this animation.

Yeah, that was pretty bad! The layout may be correct but there is no way the pacing or speed is remotely accurate.

This is the definition of a gimmick !!

Anybody can put 5 corkscrews in a row. I would prefer a well thought out design with half as many inversions to this ridiculous ride.

And I think we have all been a little spoiled by the BadNitrus animations. This certainly doesnt compare to those, but it isnt that bad.

Mental note: Never use Shockwave for 3D animation.

I can't believe that the park would release something like that! I agree that I have also made better coasters on Disney's Coaster! I guess it gets the gist of the ride out.

I second that! Found an excellent NL recreation; http://www.coastergames.net/dl.php?id=2655 Now that is what the official site should have! I have no idea how the guy got his Barrel Rolls perfect.

Oh, well looks like it is another poor attempt at a rollercoaster in the UK, yet again, a bit like Nemesis then!

Tussards needs some competition, I mean come on, Thorpe Park, Chessington are 10 miles from each other, and the nearest themepark to compete against both owned by Tussards is Legoland, I mean that's not a big competition, is it! Profit margins at Thorpe Park must be huge!
