X photos from inside the structure posted on Twisted Rails

Posted Monday, January 14, 2002 9:19 AM | Contributed by Karl DeAngelo

Everyone attending X's media day was able to walk through the structure of this monster, allowing for some excellent photo opportunities. I've posted my favorites from within the structure of this incredible coaster.

Love the pic of the first drop with the seats turning in sequence from the front (already flipped) to the rear (still facing the ground)! You can get an idea of the flipping on the drop. It was fun to ride X with a season pass! Gotta love it!

Great photos!

I thought it was pretty cool that my local news had a story on X about it being the world's scariest coaster, and I live in Indiana!

Karl, as Jeff said, that lift shot is one of the finest photos I've seen in a long time. I have previously noted that you have some higher resolution shots than the normal gallery photos. By chance do you have a higher resolution shot of that photo? It would make a breathtaking background...

those are some brilliant pictures! preferrably, the far left picture in the second row on page one, and the middle picture in the third row on page two. Karl: You have truly done a flawless job on your 'X' project the last year. Thank you for all the great updates. We could'nt have asked for anything more. I, and everyone else on this message board, look forward to seeing the upcoming Xcelerator updates.

Like everyone else, pix are fantastic.  I can hardly wait for CoasterCon in June.

Is X running all 3 trains yet and how are dispatch times?

X currently is running two trains, and will be until spring break. Dispatch times are a bit slow due to the restrants, but certainly better than the first two weeks of operation. I'd say their still dispatching every 3-4 minutes. Not an acceptable level yet.
