Dark Rides

Can you build dark rides in side buildings? Or do you need to build a huge chunk of land to do it? I thought I have seen it done inside buildings before that is all.

Yes, you certainly can! The ghost train is the best ride for this element. See the thread on tunneling from a few weeks ago for instructions on how to acheive this.

Well, that tunneling thing did not help. I can tunnel, but how do you do dark rides?

Ok, say you want to build a ghost train into the ground (or raise the ground to resemble a building) Start right outside of this building by laying the track, and direct it right into the building. Then start with your station platform. When you get a couple of "blocks" of your platform, go back and delete the tracks that you started with outside of the building (above ground.) Then right click where you left off and continue building. I have a really cool (if I do say so myself) ghost train ride, which I'll post on my website soon. I'll also do some example construction screenshots and post them soon.

That is just tunneling into a huge chunk of land. Like can you build roller coasters into buildings? And where are the buildings in the taskbar of RCT?

There are no buildings in the task bar, you just raise the chunk of land, and change the surface area and the siding to make it look like a building.

Oh, thank you. That is what I was looking for. Oh well. Maybe on the next expansion pack......
