Im doing a survey on the Boardwalk Project, do you think this will help Cedar Point? Im going to sent the results to Cedar Point, so voice your oppinion...Thanks :)

Es muy bueno! I think that the project will return some charm to the area near DT and where Oceana is(but not for long).

Yeah it is probably bound to help CP. It will attract those who don't ride the big rides (like us) but are there to ride the wus rides like DT... and others. Not that you don't need them cause you have to have those for the beginners. It will be a good addition, but personally I would like another record breaker instead. As far as an answer Yes. Seeing as CP is a family park they probably will do a family thing like the Boardwalk next year.

Who said it was going to happen for sure? It's just some rumor that appeared first on some Cedar Point site. ;)

I feel that if CP goes ahead with the Boardwalk project, it will be a great success. Like I have stated before, I would actually look forward to it. It is always nice to take a stroll down the beach while taking a break from the coasters. While you are strolling, you can check out the stores and maybe get some chow. I know that me and my woman will both appreciate it. We like scenery, so it would definitely be some different scenery. Not that I am complaining about the scenery of mammoth coasters, but change is good. Take for instance PKI. When you are relaxing for a while, you can take time out to look at their beautiful fountains. Or look at the celebrity names that are sketched in the ground. It is quite nice, which all adds to a great park experience. I am all for the Boardwalk!

Second, don't contact the park about what you think they should do. They have their next 10 years mapped out, and I can assure you that there's no idea that you can give them that they haven't already thought of.

That said, feel free to talk about the topic, and if you think it's a good idea.

I still think this is a good topic -- "Do you think Cedar Point SHOULD build a boardwalk?"

My answer is a definite YES. The area of the park in question has been somewhat undeveloped of late, and has been LOSING attractions. Moving the Giant Wheel there is a step towards reusing the area. More flat rides, a nice midsize wooden twister, and food and carnie games, would make a very nice atmosphere away from the big guns like MF and Magnum.

Great Idea. I love walking along the lake from the motels so I think a Boardwalk would be wonderful. Sandusky is beautiful and so relaxing, when you're breaking from the rides. Cedar Point is fantastic. Nothing compares! *** This post was edited by Linda Hodges on 3/1/00. ***

I really think Cedar Point should do this. Maybe even a new wooden coaster to go along with it. :) And i think the moving of the Giant Wheel is a sign that it will probably happen.

My answer?

YES!!!

It'll be great for business as far as the people who can't handle stuff like MF and Magnum, as well as a place for the adrenalin junkies to have a change of pace and relax for a change. 'Course, it'll only work if there is some place along the boardwalk that serves Cedar Point's world-famous French Fries, which I will get to try early this summer, along with quite a bit of adrenalin :-)
