I think the person who makes these is wasting his time. He should be focusing his life on more important things. Like building models of kennywood roller coaster. I think the only good work he has ever done in on the revenge of the phantom.

I agree that the person who makes these is wasting his time :) There are better ways to suggest coasters I should model, and that is not one of them. For everyone else who cares, before I make animations of SKC and Kraken, I need to know if the mpeg quality of the Phantom and Metro animations are good. I think they are smoother than the MF video, but someone emailed me saying the quality got worse. Should I increase quality (and file size) or is it good how it is?
PS- thanks coasterdude27!

I thought they were good quality. And I hope kennywood is just being sarcastic...

Hey Badnitrus, if you read this... you mentioned on your site that you are going to re-do the animation for they Crystal Beach Cyclone. Just curious... how far along is that? I'm dying to know how it truly felt to ride that awesome coaster.
Your first one was good, but since it was almost like a basic model with no background & little color, it didn't feel as good as your other creations.
Your next new coaster model should be of X, so we can all get a feel of the new 4th dimention coaster!

I found the quality of all the animations just fine. They are all outstanding, and there is a simple solution for those who find them to be a waste of the creator's time- don't play them! There are plenty of us out there who truly appreciate them!

Yes, I was just kidding they really are good. Especially because a lot of them when viewed feel just like the rides.

Personally, I like the 20MB animations you had up before you moved to danimation, they were good quality...

Holy cow Badnitrus! You never cease to amaze me. Kraken looks awesome! Along with all of your other projects, how do you find the time to be working on so many coasters in what seems to be a small amount of time?
BTW. Has anybody been on Kraken? That ride looks sweet.

Your animations and renderings all rock and not only do they please us but you have a career ahead of you with that I believe. I believe the company you are starting will be very successful because I have yet to see a park preview their new rides with any renderings or videos that can compare to yours.

I think people who criticize others for what they do in their spare time, or criticize the people who provide fabulous distractions from daily life as a hobby (i.e., Web sites, animation, etc.) are the ones who are really wasting their time and should focus on more important things.

Badnitrus,
You and Viper do outstanding work. I have been following the site since your rendering of Kamikaze and I must say I have been wowed once and again by your renderings. Each one is consistently better than the last. The newer ones that also have terrain and object features (Trees, tunnels, etc) are fantastic. They really give you a sense of riding the coaster. I am in the Modeling and Simulation business and I admit, I am totally jealous of what you two can do.
Keep up the great work guys, and I'm looking forward to more fantastic renderings and animations.

Let me just throw in that I though the quality of the Phantom's Revenge and Metro animations was perfect.

If I can offer my two cents, you shoul start making more MPEGs of the coasters in the fashion you did Talon (especially the second version, on Dorney's site.) I like flybys and stuff, as much as on rides, and I love to see the trains going through the elements from outside the ride.
But, anyway, all your animations are great, and I can't wait to see more. I really admire your abilities.
