God knows I've been wrong in the past, I'll be wrong in the future, and I'm probably wrong now, but I honestly think Kennywood has some sort of head-fake going on. It's all just too darned weird. First they don't paint the second hill, then they do. First they say there will be an underground tunnel, now we hear of a partially above ground/partially below ground tunnel. Of course, all the while, we never had (and if you ask me, still don't) an official layout.
Do we know if those layouts are exactly what will be? I mean, they give credit to Tom Delano... not an official firm. For all I/we know, yes, he might be involved in a professional computer design company, but if he is, they don't mention it. How do we know he didn't do those on his own and gave them to Kennywood, just to have his name associated with the project? I especially wonder about the cars on the "drop view". Is it me, or do I see two-seat cars? That doesn't seem kosier to me. Also, as I mentioned, the "tunnel view" has a completely underground tunnel. Some have said the tunnel will only be partly underground, due to the fact that it would be incredibly hard to build over the upcoming, projected-harsh winter here in Pittsburgh.
This is one hell of a jigsaw puzzle, and so far, we've only got the straight-edge pieces fit together, if you ask me. ;)
