Disney's new rockets grounded on launch pad

Although I haven't seen this ride yet, it sounds like an old Traver/Chambers Rockets, just bigger.What could be the problem? Trying to reinvent the wheel perhaps?

Speaking of poor design, why is it that everytime I click a link to the LA Times website I have to reload the site and it takes an average of 4 minutes to load? I'm not blaming Coasterbuzz mind you.

Has Anyone Been To Six Flags America there is a ride called pirates flight its basically the same thing. but i think they should of used hydrolic poles to control them but not like the space ships or whatever at disneyland.

Poor design? Hehehe... not really. The same civil engineer that worked on the Golden Zephyr project is the same person that worked both Ghostrider at KBF and Steel Dragon 2000! This was an unseen problem that arose during initial testing. Another interesting note is that it seems that the LA Times isn't too worried about making these stories FACTUAL. Especially since Intamin didn't build the Zephyr. It was built by D.H. Morgan Manufacturing.

Dutchman, the ride is a recreation of the old Traver airplane swing attraction. You're correct on that.

Yeah, the media out here is real good at print it first then retract later (if you're lucky ). If they correct it, It's usually burried back in the opinion section printed so small you need a magnifying glass to read it.

I wonder if there will ever be an Intamin ride that doesn't have problems?? :-)

If Vekoma build that ride there where no problems.
