Just like we're about to do now. Pretty awesome, eh? Although maybe not on the same level of awesome as that massive home-made water chute/slide thing I posted a while back.

Now if it were a water slide, that would be impressive.

It starts in the "Bumper Car Room." :) From the comments, the room is an access space for the AC unit. It sounds like they put in a few of those little carts for the kids to scoot around in.

That slide will sure throw you around and spit you out!

Home-made water shoot ride? Link?

Man, must be nice to be able to design and build your own home. I wonder what the "real" building inspector had to say about this. :)

I have to say that is pretty cool. Imagine making it a water slide. That would be truly one of a kind. I don't know what a building inspector would do. I probably would instal this after the house was built. Forgiveness is easier to get then permission sometimes.

My siblings tell me they once got me stuck in a laundry chute at the house where I first lived in NJ - same principle applies I guess... ;)

Oh boy! What's next? a coaster in the living room?

When I was kid and thinking about architecture as a career, I used to design houses all the time and one of the things I often put into my designs was a slide to get from one floor to another. :)

I want one. That's friggin sweet. LOL

I think somebody posted that bed a while ago. There was about a three=page thread on it.

The slide looks, as Wallace said "A bit painful on re-entry". If you build up any speed in the slide the abrupt right angle that spits you out at the end will NOT be comfortable.
But then, what do I know. I've never nstalled a slide in my house (Though SOMEDAY I will..)
In fact we're talking about building a slide in my son's room, but nothing like that.

I wonder if he could get a break on his insurance if it funneled you to the outside?
Make a great emergency exit.

Heck, if there's a slide to make going down fun, why not a chain lift to help with going up?

^^ Naw. You'd need at least a 15 hp lawnmower engine. Of course, you guys & gals know about those lift chairs that help your grandmother get to her feet (I refer to the jokingly as "nana launchers")? Well, if you teak that with something aking to the launcher on TTD, you might have a fun idea.
