An official with Casino Pier in Seaside Heights says that an employee was struck and injured by the Star Jet coaster at around 7:00.
The 21-year-old employee was apparently trying to retrieve a hat in a restricted area.
We have no information on the injured man's condition.
The ride seemed to be working fine.
Seaside Heights Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.

I for one know to keep hold of my hat. If i lose it oh well. My life is worth more than a hat! It's easier to buy a new one rather than endanger myself or anyone else to get it. Now, if they would retrieve it and hold it at the end of the night that would be different.

I develop Superior Solitaire when not riding coasters.
Honestly, reading the boards after the SFoG incident it's like watching vultures baying for blood and guts.
I hope no one here (or their loved ones) has to read the likes of what has been posted in the past few weeks. I'm in no way religious but the words "there but for the grace of god go I" are words a few of you could benefit to think about.

Hopman, do we really disagree that much? :)

Shame that this had to happen again. I hope he pulls through...is it me, or does this one seem a little different than the SFoG guy?
