V2 Today

I was at SFGAm today and it was awesome!!! I had the coolest time! Anyway, i was wahtching V2 from a restraunt and it doesn't even seem that the trains are low enough. the trains are like 4 feet above the ground as if you couldn't even get in them. the ride looks awesome!! and all they really need to do is finish a roof, put in the line, and make the air gates. Deja Vu looks absolutley insane. i don't know how long it could take to finish a vertical spike, and the station, but i don't think that it will be as long as everybody thinks. also V2 i think should open pretty soon.

That is how the trains are by design. Since there won't be any floor-dropping system here, the trains must be elevated above the ground so riders cannot drag their feet along the long slab of concrete. Of course, on S:UE it is entirely possible but this way it doesn't encourage it and makes sure it doesn't happen on accident.

So yes, prepare to literally leap into those seats. It's got a 54 inch height requirement for a reason, folks. ;-)

I've ridden SUE, but V2 looks like the best impulse on earth. The colours are great, and I love the way the spiral is above water.

Just a side note: Is it possible to run the trains in reverse, I.E., when going up the spiral, you're facing down, and going up the back end, you're facing up? I would love to ride an impulse like that.

Ya, I was thinking exactly the same thing. Just turn the train around.

That would be really neat to ride it like that, but I think you may get severe whiplash from that....
