At the ACE Winter Soar last night near KI, John Robinson said in his presentation that Tig'rr's and Galaxi's futures were limited, and to ride them soon.

you are right about the galaxi and tiggrs......the tiger rollercoaster needs brake parts which can no longer be ordered. They were in bad shape at the end of the year last year. Unless they decide to pay big money for custom made parts, the Tiger will be gone soon enough. The Galaxi was planned to being taken out as well even though it's still operating pretty good. There isn't very many left in the world and it's sad to know that these two coasters at IB will probably be gone within 3 years tops.

This really sucks. Tig'ger is a top 10 steel coaster to me. The design, open air seating, the setting, everything.

Things can be done to keep the ride there (and Galaxy) I hope they make the right decision and pony up the money.

That's the deal, if they want to pony the money up to maintain the rides.......you would think they would considering the unique/rareness of them. There are very few coasters left like the Tiger. It doesn't even require seatbelts which is what gave the ride a thrill factor. :) There are still several Galaxi coasters out there but most are in pretty bad shape. The one at IB is still in good shape for the most part. We'll just have to wait and see what becomes of them. Considering the park only has 5 coasters, getting rid of those two would lose a lot of business probably for IB unless they were replaced by new coasters. They lost a great ride like 5 years ago in the Twister. It was a one of a kind ride and they sold it to some place in Brazil last I heard. Another great ride gone. The Chaos broke last year and IB already took the ride out and there are no plans of putting a ride in that spot anytime soon. So there is another thrill ride gone. There was a vote on what new ride was going to be put in this year, and Steel Hawg apparently won the votes. The other rides that IB thought about putting in was one of those pendulum swinging rides or one of those swing thrill rides that moves the carts around. If they take the Tiger out I'm pretty sure that one of those rides will probably be placed in it's spot.

That's too bad. I'm a sucker for a Jet Star, and Indiana Beach's Galaxi was the best I have experienced (with Sylvan Beach's ride ranking just below it).

^Make sure you let IB know how you feel about the Tig'ger - as well as other things you like about the place ;)

It sure doesn't hurt!

I plan on doing that, as stuff like that is something the park needs to hear.

I am hearing so many bad things about the IB transition. I'm hoping everything I'm reading is just rumors.

My Beautiful wife, Julia, is the best thing that has ever happened to me!

I believe that a large portion of the stuff said about IB is rumor. Especially the stuff said on a coaster forum.

They had a booth at the sports vacation and boat show here last weekend and they said the biggest change they have made for next season is painting a lot of things around the park.
I seriously hope what you are all saying about the employees and rides isn't true...

Cooldude... if you keep posting unsubstantiated crap and continue with the character assassination of people working there, you're out.
