I dont see what a giant halfpipe coaster has to do with Avatar, they could of used Rocket Power, if it didnt get cancelled, I am ashamed I know that and I am 15, I should totally leave the room when my sister is watching tv.

the shaky loop is pretty scary though.
I also wonder if they were going to do something about the themeing...
I'd feel a little sorry for spongebob if the character became just another token -
spongebob stands for something.

A bubble machine would add a nice ambience to that ride.

Umm... in that second video, there are people in the car. And they don't sound like employees, as they are screaming and putting their arms up... but maybe I'm just too Cedar Fair-ized. Was the ride open to some people?

Back in 2005 I was part of a train of employees that was loaded on to a Raptor train on the lift to prevent it from rolling back after it was accidentally dispatched. We all couldn't help but scream and wave about.

Neuski... I know when I worked there for every test ride we were to keep quiet, and keep our hands down and holding on. Although one morning I did see a test rider on Dragster put their hands up...

The 2005 incident you are talking about... thats not the "phantom train" incident is it?

Neuski...can you explain exactly what you meant? How did weight on a train prevent it from rolling back? And how did you load a train after it had been dispatched?

Most rides sway like that. The reason the loop looks like it is swaying a lot is because of the stationary ceiling behind it. When it's outside you can't tell that easily.

An empty train was dispatched during high winds. It was stopped on the lift and employees loaded the train on the lift.

I was there today and they were most definitely (screaming) employees.

Employees have been subbing for dummies since about oh, Fridayish when they can.

As for the loop with the uh, bonus lateral Gs? Most of us know the basic engineering principles. We're well aware that if it ain't shakin, it's breakin. But before you comment on how 'normal' this is, perhaps you should see for yourself. Looks like rookie season Steel Venom. And mind you, that's without any wind.

10-12 hours of daily, year-round wobble...I gotta admit, it makes me wonder.

Maybe Spongebob will get the V2 fix. For those who don't know.. The park added more extra supports due to the swaying of the ride..

Oh, trust me, we know. VF's Steel Venom is the local V2...

The turnaround is kind of cool - almost like a half-breed between "cutback" (a la Drachen Fire) and overbanked curve.
These newer coasters with 2-row cars really explore some cool territory in terms of creative elements.
The hill of that 0G roll also looks pretty flat.
