Silverwood to buy SFGAm's DejaVu

The article claims the ride was only down 2% of the time the last year that it ran. I guess we'll have to wait and see. If the problems are fixed this could be a huge hit. My suggested names: Doppelganger, Dead Ringer, and Flipside.

A smaller park (with more to loose by having the big steel coaster in the park closed down) will be a better fit for the ride. At least it's better than adding another tired boomerang design.

They obviously aren't counting the days they never opened the ride last year. There were many times it wasn't open probably because of staff at SFGAm. They didn't want to pay the money to open it. It was a whole lot more than 2% if you are counting everyday of the season it should have been open. Also, it hardly ever opened with the park. You can minus at least 30 minutes there.

Other than those days, it sounds about right that it broke down 1 time for 2 hours with about a 3 minute delay. However, there were many stretches that it was broken down for at least 10-15 minutes.

I'll admit I haven't realy been keeping tabs on this. What did I miss?

I'm pretty sure the coaster is still in place at Great America.

The last year of operation, Deja Vu wasn't too bad. Sure there were silly breakdowns, but it was nothing like the "reliability" of the first few years. I'll miss it, and with Splashwater Falls also departing across the street, I'm hoping for something concrete to fill the area. Certainly not another Thomas Town...

As being a person that lives "there" like you guys say. I am happy to see us get a new steel coaster. Yah some people are exited about this but as for me being from so cali and trust me theres alot of us here that its not really that big of a scare. Alot of people are also not freaked about the the Corkscrew. I do hopes it works for the 5-6 months that the park is open. I am still waiting from them to get a ride the goes in a reaguler loop thou.

Well Iam actually HAPPY that it is being saved to be honest. Also now both SFMM and SIlverwood will be the only parks beside the one in Madrid with GIB's. I guess they can both have one and I guess like SF did with Greezed Lightnin they can salvage the Vu in GA for parts in Cali and Idaho. I wonder how much they grabbed it for... only a 7 year old coaster, but the amount of time it wasnt run I'd say maybe only 4.5 years old Runtime. If it was a car it would have low Miles haha.
