What coaster has has the poorest placing of the camera for the on ride photo?
I think the award goes to The Great Bear at Hershey. The camera is right before the final brakes after a long staight away. I think the last car is pratically stopped before the picture is taken.

I totaly agree with Sousa129, why didn't PKI put the camera at the bottom of the BIG drop?

I agree. On Hulk the photo is almost at the end. I thought that they should put in on that amazing launch. I also wonder why Dueling Dragons dosn't have a photo.

I thought that the Great Bear photo was on the first drop right after the helix. I went there 2 years ago so they might have changed it because im very sure it was on the drop. I also think that parks don't put the photo in places like a launch or a 200 foot drop because most of the time it could be all blurred or not look good.

Outer Limits and Volcano at PKD have the photos on the launch.

I wouldn't know what the Hulk photo looks like. During my trip last year they were stacking trains so bad I never got down in time for my photo. :(

I don't care for MF's. In the tunnel? The photo comes out kinda boring. It doesn't even look like you're moving. I'm sure it's not the worst tho.

I would have to say Son Of Beast's Photo Spot is the worst on any roller coaster that I have ridden. They take your picture right before you go up the lift hill. You're only traveling about 30 miles per hour. It is really not worth paying for but, like a lot of people will, I did. People will still buy the photo to show others that they have ridden the ride.

Well S:ROS @SFA takes the picture right before the last bunny hop. You're almost at the station buy that time. I mean the bunny hops are good and all but having the picture that late on such a great ride just seems strange. I would have rather they didnt have a picture at all. Really they shoud have put it either on the 3rd hill or the part where it crosses unver itself and gives what might be the world's greatest head chopper (the reason why really tall people cant ride it =])

Well, the S:ROS at Darien Lake has a decent photo area, but the photos are terrible!!! I mean either your head is cut off or someones head is in your way. The photos are kinda offset, ugh.

Honestly, I feel putting the camera shot in the beginning of SOB, was a great idea. I actually like having my picture being taken when I am ready for it. You can pose and take a pretty good picture for once. I just feel that it looks so much better.

MF's isnt to bad, but it can be. if people have their arms up in front of you and in the right position, it can cast a shadow on you blocking you from the picture. i think they should have had it outside. maybe on the last bunny hop, right before either tunnel, or i know they couldnt but right after the first hill.

I think any where is a bad spot for a on ride photo. I hate those things so to me all coasters with them are in a tie for the worst.

Actually i'm going to change my answer to the the Steel Phantom at Kennywood. Simply because THERE IS NONE! I wish they would have put one on for the final season then over the winter put it on the Tbolt or new steel coaster. It would be cool to get your picture taken as you begin the 225 ft drop.

I sympathise with Steel Phantom. I rode Hulk 5 times last year and NEVER saw my photo. You cant get out of the station quick enough to see it on the monitor. Its daft. How do they expect to sell them??? It wouldnt be blurred putting the photo on the launch because you only travel at 40mph through it anyway! Surely thats not too fast for a clear picture.
