Could Talon Be A Top 10 Coaster???
Nice to hear Talon is getting raves already, although most of us that visit Coasterbuzz expect it to be great (read themparkne reply above...I feel the same way after viewing those great Joel Styer photos all winter long). I will get my first rides on Talon in two weeks. IMO, the number "10" isn't enough anymore, what with all the great new(er) coasters that have appeared in a few short years. Top "20" would be more like it and of course even that is subjective.

i would say top 5 inverts and top 15-20 overall. if it were a little longer than i could see it being #1 invert and top 10. its unique layout makes up for the short track though

I hope it's a Top 10 Coaster(don't want to visit Dorney for nothing). It will be pretty hard to do it though when I love inverts and there are already 4 in my top 10 steel alone. I wonder if it will be better than BTR? ;) Steel Force improved on Magnum. Hopefully Talon improves on Raptor. Size doesn't matter.

I'm with coaster genius on this one. It doesn't seem much different than great bear. Compared to coasters like MF, Goliath, Magnum, and Raptor, I don't see how this could be a top ten coaster and that's just steel. If you add wood coasters to the mix, then there is absolutely no way any organization would consider it a top ten coaster. However, it does look like a mighty fine coaster and I'm sure it will end up in many individuals top ten lists.
I have talked to a person who got to ride it, and from what he said, it's just another forceless B&M, much like all of their new rides have been. This was really disappointing to me, because it really looks as though it would pack quite a punch. I am clueless as to how the newer B&M's can look so great, and yet, they have no significant forces whatsoever. However, if you live near Dorney and you don't travel much, odds are the ride will probably seem intense to you, since you've never really been on a truly intense ride, such as B:TR. This is just what he told me though, so don't get mad if I'm wrong.

Talon is a great ride. Definitely a Top 10 ride. I got 7 rides on it the other day, and its amazing. Forcless B&M? Well, whoever said that obviously watched it and didn't ride it. Its got some good positive G's in the inclined Spiral and helix. Also, not found on many inverts, it has negative G's, which is a really nice touch. Talon is better than Great Bear and BTR. Definitely one of the better inverts.
