Remember when we thought that Mark Shapiro wasn't going to add any coasters ever again? Well, we were all wrong.

At least he's remaining true to the Six Flags art of cloning. :)

And sorry but the whole "clone" complaint is really old.

Mark Shapiro (well, SF) has not been *wasting* $20-25M putting huge thrill rides into parks unnecessarily. These are really solid investments, highly marketable, budget-conscious, family, and FUN. They're "coasters", but of a totally different sort than what the old regime had been delivering. B&M and Intamin aren't putting their high-end products into SF parks... ;)

P.S. I'm not saying you're wasting money by building those, just when you've already GOT the thrillseeker market in your area - like GAdv, SFMM, SFGAm, SFoT, SFStL....then you don't need *another* Scream!

The complaint may be old, but so is the process. So, I guess it all works out in the end.

Tony Hawk is the new Batman. If the bigger Flags get one, they should get two and make 'em duel. :)

I think the reason Six Flags clones rides is because its just smart business. As many have stated, people generally visit just their local Six Flags, not different ones. Six Flags is going for consistency in not only customer service and guest satisfaction, but chain consistency. If a ride is a hit, why not put that ride at their other parks? Its the same reason fast food chains have the same thing at each restaurant. What business sense would it make to have a Big Mac at one McDonald's, but not one in the next town over.
