If FoF got that great of a makeover than why can't I?

No. I do not think any one would say this is a Hyper since the drop and the lift is only 150 feet.

Yeup. It's just your typical 150 FT out and back steel roller coaster. What would we call it then? A wannabe hyper? Who knows.

I think junior hyper fits quite nicely.

I personally think any large non-inverting steel coaster is a "mega-coaster" some are bigger (MF) and some are smaller (Steel Eel). A height mark doesn't mean a specific title for me.

Yea, the brochure says it's a hyper. "Hyper Coaster" really isn't an official designation, in the same sense as "Looping". Though most people think the definition is "over 200 foot drop", it is, technically, open to interpretation. *** This post was edited by Kraken on 5/2/2001. ***

There is no hard definition for "hyper" and there never will be. Who cares, they are all great rides!

Like I said, open to interpretation.

There is a definition of a hyper, just go by the rules of the first hyper.

I have heard this topic before. Is it because of the park saying its a hyper or is it because it looks like a hyper that people think its a hyper?

Well, then, obviously a hypercoaster is a coaster over 200' tall with a drop shorter than 200'. Right?

There is no definition of a hypercoaster. Never has been, never will be. Don't force your opinions on others. I hate that. :)
