Check this out SFMW in 2002 is going to be off the

I saw on another rumors page that was posted that a guy had talked to the park managers, and they are supposedly having 3 attractions coming to the park in 2002. First a freefall ride of some sort, taller than drop zone. next a hypercoaster to be built on the lakeside part of the park, and last another type of coaster built by B&M that has yet come to the US. I also heard a while ago that SFMW was looking to buy the fairgrounds from the city in 2002, because thats when their lease ends. I also heard a wild rumor that they are supposed to put a mall on the fairgrounds which I hope is not true. If you have anything to add please do so
Bring this over to the rumors section please :).

First of all, the hyper will never happen over by the lake, too close in proximity to animals in the back of the park, as well as the homes that dot the hillside across from the lake. I'm sure people living across from the park don't want a HUGE hypercoaster directly in front of their view. I can see a hyper going in if they buy the fairgrounds across the street, but not in the back of the park. I would LOVE to eat those words though! ;) I can see a drop tower of some kind, but unless PGA does something major, I don't expect anything big at SFMW for 2002. I would love to eat those words too! ;) Peace. :)
About two weeks ago on the ten o'clock news the city of Vallejo mentioned that the fairgrounds would be sold to a local developer, and not Six Flags. The developer has a proposal to build a shopping center and a business park. So I wouldn't count on SFMW buying the fairgrounds at all. I hope I am wrong though. Anyone else hear the same thing?

That is bad for SFMW! They already had to change the parking lot to make it smaller for all the coasters in the front of the park, (which sucks) SFMW was not made for coasters. They are not going to have much room at all in the current area. I see at the most a drop tower. But they have a 150 hight requirment. I think it's changing soon though. I have no idea why Six Flags has and will put so much into this park but its nice to see they care because the park is right by me!
when SF buys SFMW from the city of vallejo they can raise the height limit and i've heard it has been announced that it will be raised to over 200'. Also if they get the fairgrounds that would most likely mean a hyper is coming for 2002-03. but i wouldnt mind having a standing gyro drop.
