Six Flags New England Coaster Special on Tomorrow (6/30)

I haven't been on here since Kennedy died but when I saw this, I knew I had to pass it on to you.

If anyone has Comcast Cable (doesn't have to be Digital), CN8 (that's channel 8 for New England/Mid-Atlantic states) will be showing a special episode of American Builders on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 6:30 AM and again at 6:30 pm.

The show will be a behind the scenes look at Six Flags New England, going through the morning maintainence of all the coasters and the preperation of the rest of the park.

They showed a 5 minute clip of the morning walk of Cyclone's track ripping out loose steel bars. Should be a great show.

Ok, I have Comcast Digital Cable, but live in Indiana!! Will I be able to catch this?? I think someone needs to get this ripped to their computer and make it downloadable!!

It says CN8, adn therefore the show, is in the followin(state abbreviation): ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, NY, PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA, WV, and Washingtion D.C.

Sorry for anyone left out, including Indiana.

The episode will premier Thursday, May 31 at 6:30 pm on [Comcast] CN8.
The program will then be available On Demand for the following week.

Every main segment of the show features a coaster:

Part 1: Cyclone morning walk and repair work
Part 2: Riding the Cyclone
Part 3: Riding Pandemonium then Coaster design & pre-build animation
work (Batman)
Part 4: Superman morning walk & ride

There are also a few surprises in store!

I got up early to watch the show this morning & thought it was pretty good,although in addition to track work on cyclone they could've shown what was done in regards to the trains.

An interesting aspect of the show was when they reviewed the design work for superman,the original plans had called for a carousel curve but due to space limitations they ended up changing it to an overbanked turn instead.

And what would a carousel curve actually be?

What I had thought may have happened was that Superman was designed to be shorter (in length) than it is (I thought that I had seen artwork years ago that proved this), but that SF decided to put more money into it and make it better and cut costs elsewhere. I also heard, which went along with this, was that they were supposed to get an Invertigo, but because of money, they got the used Vampire coaster, which is Flashback.

Anyone know if Time Warner Cable in New York City will be getting this special? I looked through the guide and didn't find anything.

SROS was suppose to have the big helix turn around but do to the lack of space between Mind Eraser and the CT River they had to change the design. It is on in 30mins again

It's a show that's on the Comcast Network, so I doubt it.
