by the way, the latest patch is version 1.3, which you can download from http://www.nolimitscoaster.de/

Coaster count:47 top3 wood:Boulder Dash, GreatWhite, Wildcat,
top3 steel: Steel Force, Nitro, S:ROS@ SFNE
The best way to make coasters is just to keep playing around with it. Woodies and mini-hypers are the best to start out with. The wood support generator is great, but there is no steel support generator, so that's a step further. I was a convert from Hyper Rails, so I was a bit used to splines and trying to make them smooth. It just takes some time to get used to.
A great tool is the key "I" If you select a section of track, the hit I, the track is made straight. Note: It might modify the previous and next track as well.

Once you get the hang of it, it's awsome to be able to do whatever you can think up, at whatever speed and angle you wish.
Only tip I can offer is to use less of those edit points (vertexes) to make it smoother.
One for the bottom of a drop, one at the top of the next hill, and so on. Unfortunatly u can't be that stingy with curves if u need them even, though

I went with RCT3 even with the overall problems with it, it still is alot easier to play and with J-Cats Steel work the game became a lot easier to play.

NoLimits comes with several pre-made elements, but you can also open anybody's track and select pieces from it to save as elements and then insert them into your designs.
Studying other people's tracks is a good way to learn how to make your own elements.
