The park seems to think they will have the coaster open by july. I don't see how they could rebuild a wooden coaster, and test it and get it aproved by july.

About that title -- its Starliner at Cypress Gardens.

Skyliner is at Lakemont Park and is not the topic of the article.

Starliner's *on-site* work has been, well....minimal. Cool lead car sits outside the front gates, though... :)

The park didn't anticipate having some extra zoning issues to deal with. We all know how City Hall works or don't.

In January, getting my SP, they told me "it's supposed to be ready by Memorial Day."

I smiled and responded with "that sounds VERY amibitious". :)

Of course, if all goes well, "that wooden coaster relocation company" also has some work to do for Zippin Pippin, and maybe even Thunder Eagle and Zingo....wonder if they'll be needing any help? ;)

Zingo will probably be a at least a full year off. I haven't even heard any comfirmation on Robbie Bell securing any land. Only that he's taken on storing many of their rides while searching for a new location.

Haven't heard about the first two but the third one sounds, um, familiar. At this rate they're gonna have to spin-off a new corporation! :)

LOL, I was *assuming* that somehow F-A were involved, even if just doing consultancy, on any wooden coaster that was being relocated.

Oh, and I forgot to add Meteor... ;)
