Kemah Boardwalk Bullet Construction Question

It isays that the ride is being designed by the Gravity Group, and built by Martin and Vlemincks (sp). GG has both designed and built their own rides, as well as MV. why is it that they are coming together for this ride?

My guess is the two crews TGG has subcontracted the past two years have other projects or want a year off.

That or the whole package just works out better this way. It is TGG's first wood structure coaster and M&V Im guessing has always had their coasters designed by someone.

The Gravity Group does not build their own rides. They are a design and engineering firm that either subcontracts the work or sells their work to the parks, who then subcontract the work. For whatever reason, M&V was awarded the Kemah project.

GCII, on the other hand, does build their own rides... trains, too.

Anyone else agonizing over how slow this thing is coming together?

Yes. It does seem slow, but then construction didn't really start until right before Christmas I believe. Please be open by July 4th. :)

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!

I'm hoping it will be open by June. I'd like to get down there before the hot & busy season.

We've had a lot of rain here in January and February. There were a couple weeks where it rained nearly every day and it turned the construction area into a big mud pit. Thankfully the last couple weeks have been nice and construction has picked up a bit.
