Earphones on a coaster?!?!

On my first visit to Six Flags Great Adventure, I observed a rider with earphones on my train for GASM. He really was using them, because on the midcourse break, i heard him yell to his friend "It keeps skipping!". I was amazed because the scream machine is very painful on the ears. So on my next trip there, i brought my digital music-man, so that it wouldnt skip. On nitro, i hid it in my pocket, and on the lift i put them on with techno music. I was so amazed, it makes the ride really fun, especially with techno because the ride seems to go with the flow of the music. I would probably recommend using this only on lapbars or on B&M OTSR's because the earphones are painful on any other type. Anybody ever try it?
I run with a 40 second mini disc on my solo trips.

Never had a problem - except for a ride-op on Apollo's Chariot who said I couldn't keep them in my ears while riding. Oh well.

They are a great way to pass the time in line as well.

Usually listen to uptempo, 80s pop and dance remixes.

I never have but it sounds like it would make the ride more enjoyable
Yay, someone else knows the best way to enhance the coaster experience. I've been listening to music on coasters for about a year now. It adds *so incredibly much* to the ride experience for me, I can't ride without them. I usually listen to upbeat/fast paced alternative songs like Hit or Miss by New Found Glory, Long Way Down by Goo Goo Dolls, or Right Now by SR-71. I use a 40 second ESP Discman so I rarely, if ever, have the music skip mid ride.

"No listenin', you hear me?"
Nothing beats the sound of the rollercoaster, screaming passengers, and park atmosphere below!

Nothing...
I would put on the soundtrack to Disneyland's space mountain since the soundtrack is broken and disney is not about to fix it. I might try that sometime. I miss the music on that ride!

Home Park: Knotts Berry Farm!
