Problems getting your Maxx Pass?

Has anyone had any issues getting their Cedar Fair Maxx pass anywhere? I am getting mine from Michigan's Adventure, and the process seems to be a bit screwy. I was planning on going this friday to get it processed, so I emailed last week to make sure all would be a go. I never heard anything so I called them direct yesterday and they said all would be ok, cmon over this week and I can get it. Well I finally got an email this morning, and it says that sorry, Maxx passes cannot be processed just yet. I'm assuming because they don't have the product yet. They expect to be able to be ready at the end of the month.

Is this isolated to Michigan's Adventure, or has anyone heard about when/where/etc at the other parks?

I purchased MaxxPasses at ValleyFair in September when they first went on sale. The park just gave out paper passes at the time. They won't start processing the actual plastic cards until April however. *** Edited 3/1/2007 6:01:41 AM UTC by sws***

I hope they get to it soon, because I plan on going to Kings island opening weekend.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Last week, a CP Rep told me that passes will be starting to go out soon.

CP passes seem to be a common thread on many sites. I will pass along what I learned last week.

I contacted the CP Season Pass office because 3 or 4 weeks had passed from when I submitted my money. I had noticed that my bank did not show a record of my check being cashed. A rep at CP informed me that the software that is used to create the passes was having an issue. The indicated/suggested that new software is on the way. The rep indicated that the software is expected to arrive on March 2 or March 5. From that point I was informed that it could be 4 to 6 weeks before I get my pass.

Yeah, it depends on when you sent your stuff in. I would think it's "first in, first out".

I did the thing through WoF where you send in the Season Pass certificate (purchased online) and $5.00 and they use you existing photo to make your pre-processed pass.

I've done this the past couple of years and it's almost been early to mid-March before the pass comes in the mail.

Someone on pointbuzz said that they recieved the maxx pass today, and that it had info about adding the parking pass onto the season pass.

I don't see why not. It would just be a Knotts Max Pass though. It will still work everywhere, but you may not be able to just walk into CP by scanning at the gate. You may have to go to Guest Relations. My hopes are that they've solved this problem, but my feelings are that they probably have not.
