Motion ride at PKI...

Has anyone ridden the new 3-D motion ride that replaced James Bond at PKI? I think it's called 12th Portal or something? I'm going on Saturday and just wanted to know if it's worth waiting for or not...

Stan Lee is the man...
7th Portal, I haven't ridden but I have not heard one review that says, "Don't ride this!" so ya give it a shot! Have Fun!
I rode it twice, on April 6 (Once during a severe thunderstorm). There is really no plot, but the 3D effects more than make up for it. Yes, you have to wear 3D glasses, but it really looks 3D and half the people will be trying to touch the images on the screen from their moving seats! Definantly a MUST ride while at PKI, and yes, its called 7th Portal.

The effects are cool, but wow, hard to believe Stan Lee would allow something with his name on it to be so plotless. I didn't get it, and I even paid close attention to the intro they showed in the queue.

I liked it a lot, but maybe they buried the plot deep down so people would keep coming back trying to figure out what it is. Hmmm... ;)
I thought it was pretty good. The 3-d was a good touch.

People think Iam crazy when I talk about roller coasters, maybe they are the crazy ones.
Okay...thanks...On the preview night the line was way too long for me to wait for it, but I guess bad plot or not I'll give it a try. Does anyone know exactly what Stan Lee had to do with it? Did he do animation or plot or did he just have a great name to tag onto it?

3-D rocks...
I think it was just his name tagged onto it....

The 'plot', or lack there-of, is basically one of your fellow '7th Portal' team members gets sucked into Cyberspace and you try to rescue them, albiet without a plot. It's basically glorified fight scenes with great 3-d for this type of attraction. I don't think it's quite as effective as Spiderman at IOA, but it is impressive enough. Especially the flying skulls, sawblades, and fight with Mondarr (I think that's his name). Mindless fun....now if I can just get an mp3 of that techno music they play on the way out of the theater.....I'd be happy. It's almost as catchy as the Hulk exit music. (Essentially its a remix of the techno music you hear on the way into the theater, without the superhero sound effects.)

I tried it at PKD. No plot, but then I haven't seen much plot in any of these motion theaters. The 3-D effects were terrific and fun. Plus it's a good break from the heat and sun on a long day at the park.
Basically, 7th Portal is just one big fight scene in a stadium. I get the stadium b/c if you listen carefully at the beginning of the movie when one of the characters (how are you supposed to keep them straight?) says "lets get it on" the crowd cheers. Its a cool ride, and I would recommend it to anyone who goes there.
