They just put water back in the pond and are getting ready to open soon.
I was just out there a few weeks ago, and noticed a lot of work going on in that area.
Here are some shots of the new ride and some of the new subs. http://disneygeek.com/progress/
The new subs look kind of neat.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Mid June opening dude :) Late May soft openings. They still have a ton of work left.
Also, a rumor-monger site for DL reports a significant plumbing problem around the Nemo lagoon: http://www.miceage.com/allutz/al010907a.htm
Scroll down to "bubbling up" for all the juicy gossip.
Re WDW: halltd is correct the subs will never come back to FL, and apparently Imagineers have 2 or 3 ultra high-budget E-tickets that could go there. But, they've been waiting 10 years+ to get one approved. (Of course, it's now been almost 15 years since the Magic Kindom saw an E-ticket built)

They had to use the old ones or it could never work. By using the old ones they don't have to conform to ADA regulations, as they were first used in 1959. Had they built new subs there would be no realistic and affordable way to make them ADA compliant. *** Edited 1/9/2007 9:12:41 PM UTC by Peabody***

But I did buy a timeshare last month to make my every-year-for-the-rest-of-my-life trips easier to plan going forward. ;)

The new subs look a lot smaller than the old subs. I wonder how many peeps can fit into these new subs?
From what I understand, they reconfigured the seating to squeeze in one more passenger in each sub.
As for ADA stuff, I heard that it is the reason why the people mover will never return in its original form...and that just plain stinks. ):

You could check out animal kingdom durring the day, and go to Mk, Mgm, or Epcot in the afternoon.
