If this has been brought up before, sorry.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
/\Old news.. its going to be a kids area of some sort...
There are a few topics on this already:

I know the news of the ride being romoved is old news, but the pictures are new.
Kind of sad to see these pictures, I was just there last year.

Just seems like a waste to just scrap it.

And honestly...ask yourself. What kind of growing park will drop good money on a two-corkscrew dinosaur-age coaster from the 70's? Arrow Corkscrew coasters were SO 30-years ago.
But that was an ENTIRELY different ride, and was worth saving. 55K, I doubt you'd get that much from the recycling plant....not that I would know what steel goes for, or how much that PoS weighed.... ;)
P.S. As far as "What good put they put in that space"...well, I could really use a M-S or Gerstlauer spinning coaster... ;)
Or *something* along the lines of a couple decent flats... :)
