Future coaster suggestions for CP.

I think CP should build a large woodie on the beach behind Wicked
Twister. GCI or Intamin seems like the most likely choice or they
could remove Mean Streak and put a quality woodie there.

Also within a few year (5-10 years) Magnum should retire and be
replaced by a 250-299 foot tall out & back B&M hyper coaster with about
6500 feet of track and with at least 30+ seconds of airtime to get the
steelie airtime record.

Definatly a 500 ft tall, park encicling (with an out and back over the lake element) launched, multi looping wooden coaster. That would be so totally awsuckome!

Not completely get rid of Magnum. They should sell it to a small park. The strip of land south of Nature's Way in Cypress Gardens would be a great place for a low cost hyper such as a rebuilt Magnum (may need beacons at the top of the lift). Magnum is a good ride but I think the trains sucks and they have staplers running the ride. I'd rather be "stapled" in a B&M mega coaster than an Arrow train. B&M trains are much more comfortable and you can feel the airtime much better becuase of the elevated seats. Steel coasters don't last forever and CP will have to start removing rides or coasters to make room for more large new coasters. Since SFMM isn't much into building coaster coasters CP should have an easier time keeping the coaster count record and can afford to replace older coasters with newer ones. *** Edited 11/12/2006 9:25:28 PM UTC by Pink Floyd Fanatic***

Magnum will never be retired.

I'd like to see CP add an S&S 4D coaster to the lineup. I wonder how the new one in Japan is doing.

I'd also like to see a GCI twister added with Millennium Flyer trains.

X Factor

Pink Floyd, Magnum continues to be one of the best ridden rides in the park and has a very high re rideablity and marketing value (how many other steel coasters built 10+ years ago have T-shirts still printed with only them on it) and is a CP signature ride. Magnum isnt going anywhere, it has morphed from the most thrilling ride at the park to most young one's first "big coaster" at CP, frankly TTD has a more likelyhood of being torn down before Magnum.

Don't be so sure! Some major Arrow coasters such as Shockwave @ SFGAm & Orient Express have retire. I expect Magnum to get at least 20 years in before they would even think of retiring it.

^Shockwave and OE were a walk on their last years of existance, and Magnum is up there with its sister Gemini and LNM @ BGE as Arrow coasters that despite their best efforts are actually smooth. The two times I was at CP this year, even with 3 trains running Magnum was running 30-45 min waits in the middle of the day. Also, if you think Magnum should be removed what do you think of Gemini, and why do you think that ride should/shouldnt be removed.

Not to mention Shockwave was one of the roughest Arrow coasters i have ever been on. I actually blacked out on all three loops on Shockwave. People were not riding it because it was beating them up. Mangum is smooth and enjoyable. It isn't going anywere. I would say they should remove disaster transport and demon drop, put something there and out on the beach.

Put a HUGE Intamin giga-woodie there where DT & DD is as well as the beach area I've mentioned! I think the plug N play technology would make it possible to build a 300 foot tall woodie. *** Edited 11/12/2006 9:58:31 PM UTC by Pink Floyd Fanatic***

Why build a 300' tall "wood" coaster that feels just like the 300' tall steel coaster they already have? All that wood could be put to better use.
