Ummmm, the sky is falling?

5% increase...seems about right. Big new rollie coaster. Even though gas prices are what they are now, the spike in fuel costs drove up nearly everything else...and I kinda expect them to go up again once next Tuesday passes...

I'd love to see Cedar Fair step up and match the season pass parking deal that Six Flags has offered. I already have free parking at PKD but i'd pay them a chunk for the pass to be good for parking at CP and DP and etc.

A $2 increase? Not a big deal. Seems expected of them to raise ticket prices. That's still cheaper than an admission ticket in 2005 -- and there's a major new roller coaster headlining the gates next season! Weeeeee

It is not a terrible increase, just a few dollars.

They are raising prices because low prices did not make the people come back.

I wish that Cedar Point would add a dark ride. The crowds would start coming in by droves. Also if they did major rehab on their hotels it would make people want to stay on resort

What do you mean by a" rehab"?

The only hotel that is outdated is sandcastle. Most of breakers is new, breakers express is only a few years old, lighthouse point is new, castaway bay has just had a major facelift that came with cedarpoint buying it.

There is also the "old" section in breakers that some people(like myself) still enjoy going to because of the old feel to it.

I do however think that cp is lacking a dark ride.

Seems like the sweet spot is between $40 and $45.

That's a good price, considering what you get out of the park. Also, normally Pepsi cups/cans around the area have a 5-10 dollar savings. Also, consider that the parks out here (Orlando) are running near 70 dollars, and they don't have nearly as many rides (albeit rides are not their main purpose of existence), 41 is a welcome addition for us.

This steams me a lot less than the switch in the parking pass program. Two bucks at the gate is not an issue to a SP holder. But make me put a sticker on my car... arrrgghh.
