Six flags Magic Mountian will be open for 2007 season!

I was just on the Six flags website and renewed my season passes for 07 at SFMM!

I take it this means sixflags be open for 07 or i just waisted mone :X

I hope you're right, but I wouldn't count on it just because they are selling passes. Anything can happen.

Doesn't mean anything. SFWoA sold passes for 2004 and look what happened there.

X Factor

Astroworld was selling season tickets for 06, and we all know what happened there! (They even still had them for sale on the website AFTER the announcement!)

It was nothing but pre-mature speculation that the park wouldn't be open next year anyway. A sale happens when a sale happens, whether that's in December or next March.

Six Flags sold passes right up to week they sold SFWOA to cedar Fair.

When SFWOA was sold, they were still selling season passes the year before...

They would be stupid not to sell passes, then open for 2007 with no passholders.

Sounds like they are going to operate it until its sold (if that happens). Hasn't happened yet, so the park will stay for now!

^or better yet, while they sell all those passes, months in advance, they're making interest on the money. If they sell the park, they refund only the amount for each pass and pocket the interest.

Or they don't refund anybody and just walk away. Especially if the park is bought and kept as a park, nobody's going to yell at Six Flags, they'll yell at the new owner.

^Wouldn't happen. Since SF would still exist elswhere in the country, it would be a complete PR disater, worse than anything they've done to date. That, and there would probably some legal implications to not refunding everyone after closing the park.

The pass says right on it non refundable. So You would not get your money back if the park is closed.

I would almost guarantee that if it did close they would refund the passes sold in some form. As was mentioned, Six Flags will still very much be around afterwoods and the kind of negative PR that would come with taking the money and running, so to speak would not be pleasant at all.

The tickets also say they're not responsible if I injure or kill myself in the park even if they're at fault. That of course doesn't make that remotely legally binding.

^One who lives in Michigan and doesn't plan on going to the park in at least a year or more. The less cards, the better, in my wallet.

yes, but Six Flags passes are good chainwide. So why would you buy a SFMM one-day ticket?
