Busch Garden Europe's Griffon will be 205-feet tall

The park's new-for-2007 B&M Diving Machine - Griffon, will climb to a height of 205' and will become the park's tallest roller coaster, ahead of Alpengeist (195') and Apollo's Chariot (170').

And they probably meant "Like Nothing Else in the World" by accounting for some kind of new element never before done on a Diving Machine. Or it could be those rumored Floorless trains (skeptical about this one).

For a second there, I thought coasterguts was naming his child Griffon. That'll teach me to read these posts at 1:30 AM.

Of course there are plenty of worse names.

If that is the color scheme, it rocks. I think "like nothing else in the world" will probably be something along the lines of a floorless dive machine car, even though your feet don't touch the bottom of the regular cars most of the time.

Alright since the Taiwan coaster was brought up, I have a question. How are these drop coasters? I am living in Taipei right now and was wondering if the one here, along with the small floorless coaster, is really worth the 3 or so hour train ride. They are an interesting design, but they seem too short to really be worth while.

I suppose if you want to dissect it that much, it would be the biggest Dive Machine and thus there is nothing like it.

Seems like this could be a keeper in the BGE collection, I know we know little about it right now, but I can't wait to hear about it.

Oh no, I wasn't suggesting that at All, I think all of the BGE coasters are keepers. I was meaning more like how a lot of people would be willing to scrap other coasters like say SOB. I think Apollo and Alpie are two of the best around, and it seems like this one may only make their collection better, sorry if it sounded like that was what I was suggesting

Keepers. Of course. Even old Nessie is great to have around now because there is more to that ride then just a couple of loops. The drops, the tunnel, etc. all make this a coaster that has stood up to the test of time. May it live long into the future.

Hopefully BGE will someday do the one thing that we still want from them and that is to add a wooden coaster. Wouldn't it be great if the park had something like Voyage?

I dont know about a Voyage type ride, because Im still convinced that HW and maybe Silverwood are the only two parks that care enough about their woodies to be able to keep a monster like that in check.

However, a nice terrain twisting GCI, that would be awesome.
