SFNE improves by 100%

SFNe opened yesterday. No new coasters, but the park improvements made are very noticable. First off, SROS got the same anti-rollbacks as MF, so it is very, ver quiet now. The trains also recieved new seats, the only difference with these new ones is the seats are supported by chrome now, and not plastic bars like before. The Cyclone's re-tracking has made the coaster much, much, much more tolerable. The coaster is a lot more fun now. The 2 woodies also recieved new signs at the top of the lifts "Do Not Stand Up" with a looney tunes character saying it. The park is amazingly clean. The employees and staff are soooo much nicer! I heard they had much more orientation this year. One employee even told us they are required to smile now. When you walk in there you will think,"What happened to the SFNE of last year?". Now this park is cleaner, has nicer employees, has improved rides, and has some more family stuff. That means that now SFNE can compete with Lake Compounce because now SFNE has the good service and nice employees that it lacked last year and they also can appeal to families more this year. P.S.-I also saw many, many enthusiasts there. Also, every coaster, even though the crowds were small, had 2 train operation! Now that's a first. AND they had all 3 Scream! towers running! What an improvement.

Even Thunderbolt had two-train operation? Sounds like SFNE took a year off from major ride installations to improve on some more important qualities. I'm surprised that the Cyclone changes made the ride better. I loved the bone-jarring first drop sequence. The chrome bars on Superman must look really cool. Wow, I'm amazed. I hope the park continues to move forward, and before long, it may be Top Ten caliber.

I think it will be. I'm glad the park only got Tiny Timber Town because it really had some issues to work out with ride operation and employees, but now thatz fixed!

I'm assuming that the new seats on SROS at SFNE are the same that we have at SFA. If so I think the is s slight change to the angled tube on the side that makes it come up higher providing a little more enclosure to the rider.

Well Thunderbolt was not running two trains. Flashback was down for the day along with Shipwreck Falls, and Twister. However the park was being run very well. the lines were moving fast with little lines. and yes the employess were required to go through a lot of training there cause my friend went through it. It's like a 50 hour course.

With all the improvements made, now SFNE can start looking at their coaster collection and maybe order a couple more?

Right...... I hope everything you say is true because it REALLY needed help with its service. Lets see if it can compete with Lake Compounce when it comes to service.

It will definitely compete with the Lake. You should see the park now. I think their goal for this year was to have their big thrills, and also compete with Lake Compounce. You should really get there, you'll be amazed with the change!

The last week of May, the first week they're open during the week, I'll be there. I'm not sure of the date. I may be able to go a little before then though.

Did they fix the Cyclone's trains so that they don't have to take out a crank to open the restraints in the back?

i think some of the larger SF parks need this type of dedication (ie. SFMM SFNJ) and even some of the smaller parks (ie. SFMW SFA).

I'm very glad to hear this. Last year I went and had a lot of fun on my favorite coaster ever, but the service and cleanliness, etc. were a little lacking. I hope that if what you say is true, other Six Flags will follow in NE footsteps.

I've been to SFNE plenty of times last year thinking this is not run right. Except for opening Superman late (10:40-park opened at 10) I saw a great improvement with the park.

Even just little things like having an employee check height of kids trying to get on the major coasters BEFORE the get in the que line which was a major problem with Superman last year(wait in line for 2+ hrs. and told Sorry they can't ride)
