Thanks for pointing this out, prabe. Mr. Fetterman is, in my opinion, the Rembrandt of roller coasters. It's nice to see some very tasteful press on a deserving individual in a large paper like the Post.

Great article. It's nice to see someone like Mr. Fetterman get the attention they deserve. He truly is a great personality in an industry that is becoming more and more faceless.

Great article about an individual with so much insight, passion, and knowledge about the amusement industry. It is a refreshing change from the usual inane "news" stories about amusement parks that are little more than superficial ballyhoo about the "ests" and bland corporatespeak about branding.

Yeah, I questioned that line about the Twister, but everything else seemed very accurate.

It *could* be the marquee attraction. The opinion of enthusiasts is clear, but how popular is it among regular visitors? Which ride brings in the most money? Which ride is most "famous" among locals?

That's a good question. I think the Phoenix still gets a bigger crowd but I could be wrong. Maybe it just seems that way because the Phoenix is in a busy section of the park while Twister is pretty much off on its own.

Based on *every* visit I've made to KG, Phoenix has the longer line. Then again, Twister IS newer... ;)

Fetterman RULES!

I think Mr.Fetterman is one of the most underrated designers,he kinda breaks the mold with his creations.

Would love to see him and Harry Traver(if we could) work on a design together,that would be heck of a coaster.

I'm a local, and I can tell you people would ride the Phoenix 10 times before they'd ride Twister. That's not to say they don't like Twister, its just that the Phoenix has a special place in their hearts. :)

Many many people I talk to simply ride Phoenix instead of Twister because Twister is "too rough." I usually say something like "believe me, it could be much, much worse." ;)

Thats what is great about Knoebels,two totally different coasters,one has air,the other one laterals.

People seem to ignore the fact that Knoebels has an EXCELLENT one-two coaster punch. Twister may not be as popular as Phoenix but it is still a great ride and I think it has only gotten better in recent years.

I think Twister is the better coaster of the two.
