Rode it at DL last Monday...it was amazing!

The Davy Jones effect is terrific as well.

Believe it or not, rumor out of WDI is that that will similarly place a Bloom and Knightly (or whatever hername is) AA in in time for the 3rd movie.

I LOVED the Davy Jones effect, but felt the projection was too good and too clear if that makes any sense. It is a trip to go right through it.

By the way, when I was at the park on it's opening daythe line for Pirates went all the way down Main St. to the front gates, but only took 90 minutes! They flirt with 3000pph capacity on that thing when all the boats are on.

Watching the video with all the new anamatronics makes me want to go back to Disney.

The new robotics is creepy, because it look way to real to be anamatronic.

The crowd response to the new AAs was amazing. People in my boat were in shock at their realism. It's almost creepy.

I downloaded the video and read the comments and I was still shocked at what the new anamatronics look like.

A classic ride just got better. I loved it!

The purists just want the raping back. ;) To those who don't know:

There used to be a pretty girl in the barrel, and the drunken pirate in front of the barrel held a piece of her negligee and was searching for her. He said "I'd love to hoist my colors upon that wench......I be willing to share I be..." and other stuff like that. How's THAT for a family ride! :)

I was hesitant when I first heard of the re-hab of Pirates. It has long been my favorite dark ride... ever since I first rode it back in '82, so obviously I was more than a little concerned when I heard they were "modernizing" it to tie it into the movie.

After seeing this video, I can definitely say that Disney made the right decision. It has actually improved the attraction, surprisingly.

I cannot wait to ride it in person.

I can understand the hesitancy...the 96' P.C. rehab was a little disheartening to many fans. They felt their "sacred" ride was tarnished.
