Excalibur???

I was looking on coaster-net, and it said that there was a cool looking ride named Excalibur. But now it's defunct. First, why did it close?
Second, Did anyone here go on it, and what was it like? Thanks.

If your talking about Excalibur at V.F., then according to RCDB it is still operating. I havent been there in about 2 years so I can't say form personal experience if it is still operating. As far as the ride. It is ok. Out of 10 I'd give it 5 maybe a 5.5 if your push it. It is ok but nothing exciting.

The Arrow Mine Train from Astroworld? They closed it to build Serial Thriller and sent the ride to Frontier City where it sat for a few years and I think was scrapped.

No the thrill ride @ Six flags st. Louis.

It was even running a better program this year...(well, changed since...'03 at least)... :)

I also have to laugh that the SF site has the ride's name spelled wrong...hehe.

It looks like an awesome ride. It's like a cross between a chaos, and a giant frisbee.

It's enormous. I remember seeing photos of one of those rides in Germany- it was a traveling ride. It's impressive to see something that big move from fair to fair.
