I was thinking...

Why doesn't vekoma make a rocket boomerang? Boomers are always the cheap and nasty way to have a steel looping/inverted coaster in your park. Why not make it a rocket so it can be the cheap nasty way to do that? Besides, you know you want it.

-To launch it would be more expensive (all of the electronics and magnets).

-It would be a LIM launch, not a hydraulic launch used on the rocket coasters.

-It would take up just as much room, since it would need some launch track to get it up to speed.

-Boomerangs just aren't that great of a ride. A launch wouldn't really make them too much better.

-I don't like thread titles like "I was thinking..." I'd rather actually know what the thread is about.

Vincent, you build it and I don't think anyone will come:) What you're proposing sounds kind of boring anyway (especially from a visual standpoint), because you'd have two flat pieces of track at either end. I think a good part of the appeal of the boomerang or Invertigo is the the two steep lifts.

I don't know if I ever heard a better use for Matt's statement....EVER!

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.

I don't really think it would be a great ride, mind you. I'm just kind of surprised it hasn't happened.

Well, the opposite side could go straight up like the intertigo.

Or, you could have a launch, a cobra roll, replace the loop with zero g roll, and you may have something along the lines of something Premier has already built in New Jersey. Pretty similar.

Actually the invertigos were originally planned to have LIM lifts and not cables. However they could not procure the technology that both intamin and premier had already secured.

Chuck, who honestly thinks the super invertigos needed something, What, It took them two and a half years to get em running semi reliably?

What they need, Chuck, is a cutting torch, buldozer, and a dump truck.

Well Michael, I can say the same thing about a couple intamin launchers right about now. They will never run reliably and consistantly IMHO

Prove me wrong intamin, prove me wrong.

I can't even stand Face/Off at regular speed, so naturally I would love to be launched into traction for the next year!
