Ha-ha. End sarcasm.
I, like many I believe, am going there this Saturday to ride the most flippin' awesome coaster to ever open. I'm just curious about how the crowds will be that day. I've never been to a park on an opening day (well, actually I have, but I don't think SFKK really counts), and I'm just wondering if somebody knows about how large of a crowd I can expect for this weekend. I'm assuming it's going to be rather large for the Voyage 'n all that jazz, but is it going to be insanely crowded?
I'm planning on arriving about 7-8ish that morning so I can wait with a bunch of other coaster nerds to ride the Voyage. How many people can I expect then? I would love to be on one of the first few trains on the Voyage; I know the first is reserved for the charity winners, but I'd love to get on a train soon after that one.
Well, anyways, I guess I'm just curious to see how mnay people will be there on Saturday. Man...only a few days left. I've been looking forward to this like the rest of you all since summer, and now it's almost here...sweet.
Even though some people would rather come to HW on opening day (I know I would if I still lived in Louisville), I think that's going to take a big chunk of the crowds away that first Saturday. The Louisville area has to provide a decent percentage of the park's daily attendance. The next weekend though, who knows?
In fact, I would think HW would almost do better having all the media stuff for Louisville next week since it's nothing but Derby, Derby, Derby this week there.
I've passed up several Derby days in the past so I could go to HW for opening and that was without something like The Voyage opening. *** Edited 5/3/2006 1:27:05 AM UTC by Cory Patrick***
I'd go on opening day but I'm making myself wait and its a 5 hour drive.

Thrillerman, Lincoln was born in Kentucky. I enjoyed looking around the living farm at the State Park though. He did live there as a child. I've been there 3 times. I like that old time rustic log cabin stuff though.
