Line Games

Does anyone know any games you can play while your in a long line? I would prefer if you didn't tell me something like rock paper scissors. lol

Alphabet game (first person to see all 26 letters of the alphabet in order wins - this works better on the road though)

Movie game (name movies that begin with the last letter of the previous answer)

Yes/no puzzles (someone tells a mystery story and others try to figure it out with yes/no questions)

20 Questions

Thumb wrestling

Portable Yahtzee tournaments

I like to play "smack the person in front of you because the line moved and you are standing in the sun and want to get to the shaded part but they are too busy playing line games" game. No, just kidding, I never really played any line games, I just people/coaster watch.

FYI, in the history of this site, every single coaster-related topic imaginable by the human mind has been discussed an infinite number of times.

Sometimes it's fun just to do it all over again without linking to all the past threads.

We do mullet sightings, which is especially fun at Cedar Point.

Ciunt the chavs, and then ***** and groan about it. LOL! No I'm like LrScotsman, I'm happy just watching the people and/or the coaster. MF and PR were my two favourite to queue up in becuase you're right in the middle of Millie, and right near the station of Phantom is the second drop.

Coaster 20 Questions. The nice thing is that the game can be tailored to the "geekiness" of the group. I prefer to play with no rules, meaning any coaster, anwhere, any time is fair game. For those with less coaster knowledge you can narrow it to "only operating coasters in the US" or something like that.

The game is especially good on road trips where one round and you find you've travelled a few hundred miles. The thrill comes in stumping a group. Matt [AcousticV] stumped me, Nasai, and my dad on his very first attempt!

And for those who don't know how to play Coaster 20 Questions it's simple: one person thinks of a coaster, the other try to guess it by asking questions that can ONLY be answered with a "yes" or a "no."

My lovely wife and I like to play "category games". Usually it's something like Actresses. Each of you takes a turn naming an actress until someone can't think of one. Of course, you can only name an actress once. We've done actresses & actors, female/male musicians, different movie genres, etc.

Not the most exciting game but it does pass the time and we've had other people in line join in our game.

DEK - that's a good one, especially for a mixed group of coaster geeks and non-geeks.
