Greezed Lightnin' staying in Texas

As sad as the Texas Cyclone demolition news is, at least the classic 1978 Schwarzkopf Greezed Lightnin' has been saved.

Looks like Joyland in Lubbock will be the proud new owners.

The Mayan Mindbender coaster will be going to Wonderland Park in Amarillo.

Nice to hear that. GL rocks! :) And I didn't get the Mayan Mindbender credit at AstroWorld, so looks like I get a second chance at that one, but Greezy is where it's at! :)

Wow, a double shot of great news. Too many Schwarzkopf coasters are lost nowadays- good to see a shuttle is being saved, and one that is pretty close to the coaster's original home.

The Wonderland news is also interesting. I've never been there but I hear it's a nice small park. Good to see they are putting money into the place. But I can't help but wonder where they're going to fit that coaster, unless they get rid of one of the ones they already have (Zyklon, wild mouse)?

Wonderland also got Astro worlds Yo-Yo a great ride if I do say so myself.

Ah yes... Yo-Yo's are great rides. Good to hear that found a new home as well!

I wouldn't be so quick to say Zonga won't be saved. :)

I'm so sad that Viper got scrapped. I just can't see tearing apart and getting rid of a coaster like that when it could've been sold to another park... wait, I've just answered my own question... it must have brought more money as scrap metal than anybody offered for it as a functioning coaster. (these voices in my head truly ARE smart!) :)
