Just official...Six Flags Over Georgia looking for David-look-a-likes

Calling All Davids!Six Flags Over Georgia Issues Call for All “Famous David” Look-alikes to tackle GOLIATH on April 1 Atlanta – March 13, 2006 – Six Flags Over Georgia is preparing to unleash a GIANT next month. Soaring over 200 ft. above the park and covering an area 8.5 acres in size, this much-anticipated steel monster will appropriately be called: GOLIATH. To tackle the challenge, Six Flags Over Georgia is issuing a call for all “famous David” look-alikes to be one of the first to tackle the coaster. If you look like any famous “David” – be it David Hasselhoff, Dave Chappell, David Lee Roth, Davy Jones or others – Six Flags Over Georgia wants you! If selected, all “famous David” look-alikes will be among the first riders on GOLIATH, plus each will receive a season pass for the 2006 season at Six Flags Over Georgia. To register as a “famous David” send an email description of yourself along with a photo to famousdavids@yahoo.com. Winners will be notified by March 28, 2006. When it opens on April 1, GOLIATH will travel over 4,400 feet on a journey that takes over 3 minutes and reaching speeds of 70 miles per hour. The park’s 11th coaster, GOLIATH will be Six Flags Over Georgia’s first “hyper” coaster, or coaster reaching over 200 feet in height.

Hmmm...

My name is David. I don't know that I'm actually *famous* (although I have eaten at Famous Dave's...) though. But then I wouldn't need to look like anybody else, either...

Or maybe SFOG is looking for people who look like me? Now that's a frightening thought!

Didn't they do a "David's conquer Goliath" on the opening day of Goliath at SFMM?

Too bad they aren't getting David Lee Roth for the opening! I don't think a look-a-like would cut it!

^Actually he is too busy helping CBS Radio TANK in the ratings. Since Howard left Dave's ratings have gone from a 7.9 to a .2 Literally that means there could be 0 people listening. I kind of feel bad for him.

But I do like the idea of this marketing campaign, and I'm glad to see Six Flags doing stuff like this.

I guess SixFlags decided to 'clone' events like they clone their coasters.
Look for Discovery channel special in the future. :)

I guess you'd have to look like the younger version of Pink Floyd's David Gilmour. The old Dave is too fat to ride! :)
