X-Flight needs advertising for GP

When I talk with kids at school they didn't even know about X-flight. This is not isolated, hardly anyone in the GP knows about this coaster. As I remember last year, MF was the talk of the town. I know MF was a record breaker, but with the coaster supposedly opening in less than a month, shouldn't more people know.

The marketing I've seen so far has been pretty lame. The TV and outdoor talks about the convergence of the parks, but what about the new ride? They've got a ride that is the second of its kind. This is a really big deal, and even I don't see the hype it deserves with it in my backyard.

Maybe it's time for Six Flags to hire the agency that did the Playland spots!

We're not having any of these problems with the twin. The Batwing animation is prominently featured in the ad that's on every other minute (kidding), and Safeway grocerystore did a season pass mailing to the general public which features several shots of Stealth with Batwing colors. (Whoever did this had to have spent a lot of time in Photoshop)
Six Flags again has to get the new name familiar with the GP - to give the GP a chance to know it's out there. Though on the commercials, they do show a brief view of the animated X Flight.

But the main focus is letting people know that SFWoA now includes the old Sea World.

I wonder if the plane would actually crash if Six Flags did it...

Why let the GP know? It can be our little secret and we can ride it all day. ;)

I think that Six Flags is trying to answer the question everyone is asking: "Where did Sea World go?'' in their new spot ads. Thing is, some still don't know we even have Six Flags Ohio.
