The clicks and clanks before the launch remind me of the Tower of Terror @ Disney!

Hopefully, I'll be hitting it this spring.

Low to the ground turns. A headchopper. Pure speed. And a nice looking top hat? Sign me up! Only problem... from the video, it seems like it's over when it should just be beginning. Oh well.

You're going down unda, Robbie?

I felt the same way about the ride. It starts out promising, then it's....over. A big improvement for the rockets, but still not quite a whole coaster....maybe 2/3. ;) *** Edited 12/22/2005 3:56:54 AM UTC by Acoustic Viscosity***

Is it just me or wasn't there supposed to be a themed start to this ride? Something about Superman and a subway and an earthquake? Did that not pan out?

I don't think the theming is done yet. Maybe the scafulding supports that. I love that headchopper!

Yeah, I was wondering about the indoor portion as well. ???

There is a themed dark ride section, however the park doesn't want to give it all away for free. The entire promo website (as featured on ARN&R) strangely makes little to no mention of the dark ride section, which from all accounts works quite well. I’ll find out for myself some time this week :D

That indoor launch idea is brilliant. The sounds echoing make it so much more intimidating.

They are keeping the dark ride aspect a secret. As it should be.

I will be riding it when the kids have gone back to school and i dont want to read a trip report and find out all the surprises. Much better to experience it than read about it!!

I think that it is the most complete rocket to date, and an absolute monster coaster for Australia. miles and Miles better than anything else.

Good on WBMW. Take that Dreamworld. Bring on the coaster wars.

Looks great. Reminds me of Rita. Just with a top hat.

Why does this ride have to be on the other side of the world?

Because most of the other good ones are on this side of the world. Don't be greedy. ;)

I don't think it's all that impressive looking. Pretty much just Xcel and Rita smashed together. While XCel is XCelent and I would imagine Rita is at least decent, I can't imagine this ride would offer too much more than either and certainly doesn't look like it would top SR in my book.

If you lived in aulstralia... you'd be happy to have this.

It looks like a fun ride. Too bad they couldn't have squeezed a little bunny hop in there somewhere, but that's just being picky......

Australia was "way past due" for a really good ride.....even moreso than SFA... :)

...and this LOOKS like a really solid ride to me. Sure it's short, the rockets ARE short, that's what ya get for eliminating the lifthill, LOL. But the video SEEMS to show *powerful* airtime, and that's what "does it" for me... :)

Looks nice, but as someone said, it ends when it should be getting warmed up. I was watching the video and thinking "Gee, this rocket has some potential" and then it hit the brakes.

If the darkride portion is good this will be an excellant ride. Imagine if The Mummy (USF) was just a coaster. It would be weak, but the dark ride integration makes it a great ride.

Finally, something more to get me to Ozland than something I've done (and wasn't impressed with) at SFMM, an Arrow, and the Tallest Drop Tower in the World (I think it still is, correct?).

I do want to go to Australia, but this really makes me want to go.
