Well after I discoverd the tool that the developers of the game use to make there videos I started messing around with it and came up with a nice little video. It takes a much longer time to create a video now but it looks so much better.

The program that I used is an 'easter egg' in the game called the ASE or Attract Sequence Editor. So here it is, Old Time Thunder Mountain....

They look great, but like you said, it takes forever to do. I think there's a reason they left that feature out of the game.

The fact that an almost totally working version of it is still in the final code shows how close they must've come to leaving it, but wisely decided against it.

It's another one of those things that makes you shake your head. They spend time monkeying with a totally secondary (trinary? quarternary? Bah, way down the list) features like the A.S.E. while so much else needed work...and still does.

Video looked good though. :)

I love the music track! ("Swamp Thing" by The Grid). It was one of my favorite club songs of the 90s... a huge hit during my DJ sets 10 years ago.

I don't believe any of the albums by The Grid were ever released in the U.S., but they also had a single & video called "Rollercoaster" from the same era, which featured a cool, computer animated video.

Here's a link to their discography, for those who might be interested...

As for the "Easter Egg"... it seems like it would have been a cool feature. Too bad it takes forever to render the video.

Thanks guys. To access the A.S.E. you have to hit Ctrl + Shift + 0 (minus the plus's of course ;)) It takes a long time to understand how to use it. I personally think this gives videos a better feel, 'warmer' if you will. :)

So I hope to see some good looking videos from you people. ;)

It really is a good program...a bit complicated to work with at first...but all in all it gives a much better feel to making videos once you learn how to use it. It started in RCT3 and they finished the A.S.E. in soaked. The good thing is those that learn how to use it can really benefit from it....Nice Vid Corkscrewy! It's much better than Hades ;)

Have you guys seen the Fantasmic coaster? It was posted here about a year ago, runs about 15 min and uses fireworks throughout and they are completly syched to the MGM version.

This is the first coaster I've ever designed. Please let me know what you think. I did the movie in Windows Movie Maker.

I also have my first video on that site. I'll post the link.

I've come a little farther along since then. I have like 4-5 movies created. The Old Time Thunder Mountain is the most recent and uses the A.S.E.

Actually his previous ones were still good, but mostly were still shots shot with only the standard stuff. A.S.E. is definatly an improvement...wonder if he's giving any hints as to his next project? ;)

As soon as I have one I'll be sure to tell ya. ;)

I'm actually thinking of redoing my Hades video with the A.S.E.
