Mack Matterhorn

Hello,
I'm looking for informations about some matterhorn rides from manufacturer Mack. In which parks are still matterhorn rides from Mack?
I know:
- Williams Grove (Disco Star)
- Palace Playland (Matterhorn)
- Lake Winnie (Matterhorn)

I hope you can help me.

I thought the one at Lake Winnie was a Schlittenfährt...the cars are a bit different from the Matterhorn. Darien Lake had one of those as well the last time I was there, but that was a while ago.

Anyway, there is a Matterhorn at Cedar Point ("Matterhorn") and another at Geauga Lake ("Haybaler", formerly "Yukon Yahoos"). I saw another one somewhere, but I don't remember where...

The Mack Matterhorn looks a lot like a Chance Flying Bobs or Thunder Bolt. Distinguishing feature is that the Matterhorn tubs (built by Jhle) have grillework and headlights on the front, and the lap bars do not latch. Flying Bobs tubs are more plain, have a latching mechanism for the lap bar, and usually have an access hole on the outside of the car just behind and below the seat bench.

The only other tidbit I have to add is that the name is pronounced "Makh", the same way you would say that an airplane has hit Mach-1.

Ocean City has one I think.

Lakeside in Denver has a Matterhorn.

I have heard it both ways. When ACE was at Europa a member of the Mack family (I think it was Roland Mack) spoke to our group. Every time he said Mack he pronounced it like Mack truck.

Jeffery, you're probably correct about the pronunciation. I heard about "Mach" from a maintenance guy, who isn't nearly as credible as a family member, lol!

Nope, most certainly not Mack. Looks like Reverchon to me, given the small pneumatic tires next to each sweep. Look in the 'build up' photos to see those; in operation there is a scenery panel in the way.
