Last summer, when I asked an employee at BGW, they said it was closed due to numerous complaints of head injuries. (I have read this on other coaster sites as well.)It does look fierce, but how many complaints did it take to close it down. It's still shown on some of those TV Coasters specials, but I know it's been dormant for two years, at least. Other rumors that abound are that it closed due to lack of riders. I hardly believe that one to be credible. I asked the staff at BGTampa(with whom I work from time to time) and they didn't know the clear answer. Their speculations were varied. Since its' closure it's been supposedly up for sale, but no one seems to be buying. They've been running tests this Spring, with oficials and park employees testing it. Some say it's in order to sell it... Others say it's in order to prepare to FIX the problems while still others speculated it would open this season as is (it didn't of course). As with ANY coaster closing, the spin doctors try to minimize the speculation while the rumor mills try to stir things up. Somewhere amidst all these clues are the real answers, I'm sure... As for now, it just sits there...
