Biggest Let Down Ending
What does everyone think is the biggest let down ending on a coaster. My award has to go to the Adventure Express at PKI. This is an AWSOME mine train great theming. Then you start up the final lifthill with the stone statues beating the drums saying you will pay. The intensity builds up to the top of the hill. Thinking it is going to have a huge drop or insane helix it merely turns into the brakes and the station. What a bummer.

I said the EXACT SAME THING the first time on Adventure express!!
As for other let downs, Desperado's first 2 drops are incredible, the rest of the ride is pretty ho-hum.
And, although I love the ride in general, the Viper at SFMM is tragically slow after the brake run. The brakes make yer head snap foreward due to how hard they hit. The actual ride is fun, perhaps the slower speed reduces the head banging. For a big Arrow looper, it is *rather* smooth.

I would have to say any of the 3 Arrow MegaLoopers(GASM,Viper,Shockwave) After these things hit the brake-runs and go through the batwings, these things just BARELY make it through the double corkscrews, they crawl very slowly, great rides the first half, but after hitting those trims, the ride just sux.
I thought the Shockwave (and I assume the others) had to have enough "gusto" (as you put it=]) to make it through the rest of the track. That's not just the mother of all trims, but an actual block brake right? Then again, I wonder why the need for the extra block. They only run three trains. Wouldn't they be separated well enough with one on the lift one in the station and one in the final brakes? Help me out.
Yes, it is a block brake and it was included in the design of the coaster. I was just pointing out how slow the train moves after that brake. They have it set up where the train has just enough speed to complete the remainder of the track. On a good note the way the last 4 inversions are set up if the train were moving at a good clip the ride would beat you up even more than it does now. I also heard and read on other sites that they had changed a piece of track and it has made a difference in the ride in a positive way.
Adventure express is most definately the biggest letdown, but Big Bad Wolf and Loch Ness Monster at BGW also let me down. You have all of this great speed and momentum built up after the seccond chain lifts, but it is all wasted by immediate returns to the station houses.

I also agree with the Adventure Express answer. I would have to say (and I know I will get a lot of heat for this one) that Chang is the second biggest letdown. It has such an awesome beginning, but near the end it just gets plain boring!

I was thinking about this last night, and I came up with a bunch of coasters that are great all the way up to the final brake run. When they hit, you realize that the coaster could have gone another 1,000-2,000 feet without even slowing down. What a bummer, to cut down a ride with PLENTY of speed all the way to the final brakes. Goliath (SFMM), Ghostrider (KBF), the Beast, and Top Gun (PKI) all come to mind. All are great rides that could be better if they were allowed to be longer. Goliath espically, 255 foot drop and a track length of only 4500 feet. BOOOO, HISSSS (I still love the ride)
