Long Lines

I know this has probably been posted before, but being relatively new to the site, I wanted to know the longest people have waited for rides, and how long people are willing to wait, especially since so many wonderful new rides are coming out this year.

Ghostrider = good
The first day I went to cedar point, before they opened the queue for mf, the line went all they way back to the water rides. I thought that was crazy but that only translated to about a 45 min wait, and for cp that's pretty standard fare.

"Nippy!! Where the hell are ya?"
I waited 2 1/2 - 3 hours for the Beast. I've seen and heard many people say that the queues inside are never open, but when we were there, everything was open and the line was still out the entrance. Great ride though. I think I'd wait it out again. Plus, IMHO, many of PKI's other rides are terrible (that might be a bit of an exaggeration, but I did think that only a few of their rides were worth waiting for), and when we were there, EVERYTHING had an outrageous wait (usually at least 1 hour).
I remember waiting a ton of time for the Beast in the first few years, but after a while they never seemed to have the inside queues open - even when the line would stretch way back into the midway. Long live the terrain coaster.

At my park SFGA.. probably like most,, In the middle of the summer.. the Batman line is the longest it could ever get.. and thats like, 2 hours or more.. in the heat! man,, I cant stand it.. I remember when Raging Bull first opened.. the line was out of the Southwest Territory! and thats long.. basically like the old rolling thunder line,, straight outta there.. but then again,, I think thats cause the Raging Bull, well, theres not alot of railings,, well, the waiting area, you know.. And on the wierdest days,, the whole tent for the American Eagle is full,, with two sides it goes fast, but some people even wait when its only one side! I wont wait for the blue though.. Long lines in the summer suck!.

AMERICAN EAGLE!! (RED TRAIN)BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well the longest I have waited was 2 hours for Millenium Force, but I spoke to someone who worked at CP and they told me that on MF's opening day, the line streched all the way to the front of the park!!! 8 hours!!!

I'd Rather Be Riding Rollercoasters
It may not be a coaster but I waited 5 hours thats right 5 hours for Indiana Jones at Disneyland! I also waited 6 hours for Rocket Rodes! Man that was a waste of time. The ride sucked big time!:(

Riddlers Revenge is the best in SoCal!
oops, Rocket Rods :)
5 or 6 hours volcano a PKD it broke down for 41/2 hours! so we sat in line and played cards untill it started again. The ride was great!
PKI actually isnt that bad in lines. My friedn has been to a park (didnt name which one) where every ride had at least 1 1/2-3 hour wait. Compare that to PKI: usual wait for anything but FOF and Face/off is usually about 30 min.-1 hour. Those two rides currently have one car on track so waits are a little longer.

all about PKI
the Beasts` Den
Ouch Lothar! That must have been a bad day. I went over 20x last year(never on Saturdays) and never had a wait besides SOB, Beast, and Drop Zone over an hour. OL:FOF, Vortex, The Racer, AdvEx, KC, and TG were always a walk-on, Face/off usually a half hour, and I never ride the kiddies. And IMHO, most of CP's rides are terrible(may be a bit of exaggeration) as they had 4 of my longest waits ever(Mantis, Magnum, MF, and MS). LMAO!!! Why does CP name all their rides starting with an M? He he. I just noticed.

Been here before but SRoS, SFNE ...4 hours BUT
8 hour once when one train was on...no kidding ...honest!
One time at SFGAm, during Fright Fest, Raging Bull's line was up to 4 hours long! I decided the bull isn't worth the wait. Not much coasters would be.

are you ready to go vertical?...V2 SFMW 2001 ...
Once, I went to PKI on a weekend(bad idea) and the waits were extremely long. Flight of Fear was 3 1/2 hours! No way I was going to wait that long! I went to the Beast first and only waited 30min. but toward the middle of the day, it was around 2 hours. The Racer and Adventure Express were the only ones that didn't have an hour+ wait. King Cobra was 1 1/2 hours. Face/Off was 2 hours. Son of Beast was 3... yes 3 hours long. Vortex was around 1-2 hours. I didn't really enjoy that day too much, but I plan to return to the park on a weekday.

My longest wait was about 7-8 years ago for Mean Streak at CP (when I was just tall enough to ride). I think we waited like 2 and 1/2 hours. Odd though, I've never waited longer than 1 and 1/2 hours for Millennium Force, LoL.

OMG, when Batman: the Ride opened @ SFGAm (first inverted coaster) they built a special que line that went in back of East River Crawler, and in back of Cajun Cliffhanger.

I had to wait like 4.5 hours to get my first ride on Batman. What a ride it was and still is.

That que line is still there and so are the TV's along the trail, it starts in the area across from Power Dive. Look for it, it's strange.

I had to wait 6 hours on opening day for VOLCANO, just like Grizzly did, but a little longer. Also the temperature was over or at 100*, no joke, it was terrible. The staff there had the nerve to walk through the lines with lemonade, there most expensive drink to everyone. It really PO'ed me to see PKD have the audasity(sp) to do something like that. They were trying to make a profit off of our misfortune and it was pathetic. After that wait, any ride seemed to stink in my opinion because a person should not have to wait for more than 2 hours, let alone 6.

I also had to wait 3 to 4 hours for MF one day at Cedar Pojnt because the ride broke down 3 times while I was waiting to ride. It was very annoying.
